Huawei Mate Xs release – Reported from The Verge mobile phone is equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery like its predecessor. Mate Xs has a 40MP main camera configuration, the camera hardware still consists of an F-1.8 40 megapixel main camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, a 16MP ultra wide camera, as well as a 3D depth sensing camera.
The phone is priced at 2,499 euros and will begin to be released in March.
From the software side, Huawei is no longer using the Google Mobile Service alias various Google services, such as Gmail to Google Play Store. This is because Huawei is still in the United States blacklist as a trading war.
Instead, Mate Xs uses a home-made app from the Huawei Mobile Service (HMS). Even Huawei has set up AppGallery to replace the Google Play Store.
Richard Yu said the mobile phone is also equipped with Kirin 990 5G Cipset. However, Huawei said Mate Xs mobile phones can also provide 4G network.
Deputy Country Director Huawei Device Lo Khing Seng says Huawei is ready to provide 5G phones, but until now the government has not implemented 5G. Compared to its predecessor, the Mate Xs processor was upgraded from Kirin 980 to Kirin 990.
From the design side, Mate Xs looks similar to the Mate X. However, Huawei claimed the phone had an upgrade from the processor side and a more robust screen hinge design and display.
The phone is equipped with an 8-inch display when unlocked, a 6.6-inch mobile screen when folded. Huawei said it uses construction “quad-layer ” to screen on Mate Xs, making it more powerful screen.
At the top are two polymide layers that are above the flexible OLED display. Then there are two layers of polymer that serve as bearings and simultaneously connect the screen to the device body.
“Polymide 80 percent stronger than single layer, three times more expensive than gold,” said CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Richard Yu in a live stream of Mate Xs in Barcelona.
