The 1,800cc four-cylinder aluminum engine equipped with Variable Valve Timing technology was brought in from the previous model, but the latest version with Valvematic Valvetrain technology was presented for the new le eco type. Toyota said that this latest engine resulted in a 5 percent increase in fuel consumption efficiency and engine-generated power.

For transmissions, the Toyota Corolla will use four speeds for the automatic type and six speeds for the manual type. The Toyota Corolla will be the first Toyota model to offer a pulley-style CVT. Toyota says that offering enjoyment of driving is a top priority, so engineers are adjusting cvt adjustments to the traditional style of driving the type of automatic transmission.
The Toyota Corolla uses special steel that can reduce thickness but increase strength against collisions. Toyota’s Star Safety System is standard including anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brake-Force Distribution, Brake Assist, and Vehicle Stability Control systems. Brake override system becomes standard, as is tire pressure monitoring system.
Toyota listened to consumer input when designing the new Corolla and designed the Toyota Corolla with a high standardization rate. All models get AM/FM in-glass radio antennas, body-color door handles and mirrors, split-folding 60/40 rear seat, power door locks with automatic locking feature, power windows with driver-side one-touch up/down function, air conditioning with pollen filter, Bluetooth connectivity, and eight airbags as standard.
