The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine spews 260 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft of torque. (600 Nm), with standard stop-start engine technology (ESS), is available on Gladiator Sport, Overland, and Rubicon models.
For greater torque loads, the EcoDiesel V6 is connected to the new 8-speed TorqueFlite 8HP75 automatic transmission, calibrated for low RPM displacement and on-and-off-road duty.
There are more than 40 individual shift maps to optimize shift points for fuel economy, performance, and 4×4 capability.
The Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel Sport, Overland, and Rubicon feature a Dana 44 axle of the third generation front and rear. In addition, all EcoDiesel Gladiator models have an axle ratio of 3.73.
Rock-Trac 2-speed transfer case with low gear ratio 4.0: 1 is standard in Rubicon model and Command-Trac part-time 2-speed transfer case with 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio found in Sport and Overland models.

The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine is manufactured at the FCA Cento facility in Ferrara, Italy. Fans can order it now and the car will arrive at the showroom in the third quarter of 2020.
